Who wants to be a Super Hero(ine)?

Twitter has been abuzz with congratulations for the Fitbitch graduates who successfully ran yesterday's Beacon Half Marathon. It was an inspiring and amazing achievement for everyone. Particularly when you consider every single one of the runners started out unable to even run a 5k, let alone even countenance running over 13miles. Amazing!
It just goes to show how much you can achieve if you have a goal and just take one step at a time. For that reason, why not enter this year's Heroes Run on May 16th 2010. You can choose from 5k or 10k distance, it's in Brighton and the money goes towards charity. Besides, it is a great chance to dress up as a superhero.
It would be brilliant to see a bunch of Fitbitches rocking a superhero look. I'll be there although I have to get my thinking cap on and make a better effort of my abysmal She-Ra costume last year. Any ideas anyone?

Fitbitch Boot Camp One Year Anniversary

Unbelievably it has almost been a year since Fitbitch Boot Camp was launched. And what amazing, inspiring Fitbitches there have been! So far we've had Fitbitch beginners graduate to 5ks, triathlons, 10ks and most recently half marathons. It is amazing what you have all achieved.
To celebrate everyone's achievements (and really just for the chance of catching up with everyone) there will be a Fitbitch Breakfast at Hove Park Run on 20th March at 10am. (This will also be the graduation brekkie for the current February boot camp, a week after their camp finishes).
Come for the run, the brekkie, coffee or for all three! The breakfast will be £7 per head so please email me if would like to put your name down. Put it in your diary!

Who is the hardiest of them all?

So, who is going to be the most hardcore Fitbitch this year? January's boot camp recruits are already shaping up to take the challenge. Despite four weeks of deep snow, frost and rain, this lot were out there. Yet, judging by the Tweet pics, they all loved it. And there were some astounding successes with weight losses of up to 10lbs and huge advances in fitness. Congratulations January Fitbitch Queens!
